Choosing the Right Scenario
Comparing groups (operators, machines, materials, shifts, stations)?
Use one of the 6 group comparison scenarios. They all work the same way -- just pick the one that matches your grouping variable.
Analyzing trends or validating a process change?
Use Stability Over Time for continuous monitoring, or Before/After for comparing a process before and after a change.
Tracking defect types and rates?
Use Defect Pattern Analysis to see Pareto charts, attribute control charts, and trend timelines.
Have non-standard data or a custom instrument?
Use Custom Analysis for flexible column mapping and chart configuration.
