CSV Format Guide

Basic Format

Your CSV file should have column headers in the first row, with data values in subsequent rows. Use commas to separate columns.

Column Roles

QC Dashboard automatically detects column roles based on header names. You can also assign them manually during the upload process.

Tips for Best Results

  • Use descriptive column headers (e.g., "Diameter_mm" instead of "Col1").
  • Include at least 20 data points per group for meaningful SPC analysis.
  • Use consistent formatting -- avoid mixing "Day" and "day" in categorical columns.
  • Numeric values should use a period (.) as the decimal separator.
  • Remove blank rows or summary rows at the bottom of your spreadsheet before exporting.
